Students' Access to Sexual & Reproductive Health-Care Services and Information
KAU is committed to avail access for its students, to sexual and reproductive health care services, education and information, as part of KAU's responsibility towards its students and local community, where it has multiple medical centers that provide free medical services, education and information.
The below list shows centers that provide medical services, information and education services that are specifically related to sexual and reproductive information.
University Medical Services Center
The center includes three obstetrics and gynecology clinics that operate throughout the week, managed by specialists and consultants in obstetrics and gynecology, as well as a fertility and infertility consultant.
According to a report from the University Medical Services Center for the year 2025, the number of beneficiaries from the obstetrics and gynecology clinics reached 5685.
The center works on providing top quality comprehensive health services, both informative and educational, to university employees, thus, providing a suitable environment for training and educational programs of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and college students, and contributing to practical research programs and providing health awareness programs, including awareness and services related to sex and reproduction, for various sectors of the university.
KAU's University Hospital
The goal, of KAU's Hospital, is to provide distinguished medical, educational, informative and research services that contribute to the advancement of health care in the society, as well as being in the top 100 hospitals worldwide.
Health Education services: like workshops, educational sessions and services about various health topics, including sexual and reproductive health care, such as: Abortion, Caesarian section, External Cephalic version.
Training Services: Various King Abdulaziz University (KAU) Colleges (like Medicine, Allied Sciences, Medical Technology, Nursing, among a few) are affiliated with the KAU Hospital for training of their students prior to their graduation.

Regarding patients, all Saudi patients and eligible non-Saudi patients can be referred to the clinics. There is one Consultant who is specialized in women sexual health.Confidentiality of information is a topmost concern at KAUH. The Hospital has clear and strict policy to follow and observe for access to information especially about patients.

Every student trainee is mandated to undergo Orientation Program before the start of hospital training. Trainees are given free access to the hospital’s information and education services based on their eligibility.

For research purposes, trainees and/or non-training students may be granted access to information provided their research has passed and obtained approval of the Bioethics Research Committee in the Faculty of Medicine, and thereafter, by the KAU Hospital Ethics Committee.
Health Awareness and Education on Sexual and Reproductive Health
The university places great importance on health awareness and education in the field of sexual and reproductive health. These services are delivered through an integrated system that includes the University Health Services Center, the University Hospital, the Health Promotion Center, in addition to the health colleges. Through their diverse programs and initiatives, these entities contribute to raising health awareness among all members of the university community, including female students, through awareness channels, educational activities, and digital platforms, in support of public health and the enhancement of quality of life within the university community. On 14/10/2025, under the patronage and in the presence of His Excellency the Vice President of the University for Business and Knowledge Creativity, Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Amoudi, the University Medical Services Center held the World Breast Cancer Day event under the slogan “Early Detection Is a Wise Choice.he event was organized in partnership with the Public Health Authority (Weqaya), the Faculty of Medical Rehabilitation Sciences, and the Faculty of Nursing, with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of early detection and prevention of breast cancer.
